I think I win.
(Well, that is until someone brings up the news of the mega-pussy. People were reporting about that for ... what ... a week?!?!??!)

ah smoking in the gov't buildings, reminds me of when I lived in Boise, Idaho (thats in the far west of the USA for those who arent good at geography)......
one fine winters day during the break between xmas and new years, one of the aids to the sec of whatever dumped their ashes from a cigarette into the trash can, leaving work for the day......later that day the fire department gets a call about smoke billowing out of the state house----seems them thar ashes started a fire, which ultimately cost the taxes payers of Idaho about 7 million dollars.......
oh yeah I care, since I was one of them tax payers
after that smoking was banned from government buildings, this caught on and other business joined in, hospitals, public malls, eateries.....
yep I do care .

OH NO HE WILL SET OFF THE SMOKE DETECTORZZZ
Seriously, if every country tried to find a dirt on their president elect, world would be in anarchy. I mean, sure, in Poland our president (before being elected) Kaczyński claimed that his opponent's grandfather (Tusk's) was in Wehrmacht... Now we are laughing, because Tusk is our prime minister and many people think he'd be much better president than Kaczynski is now. And he's muuuch better than ex-prime minister, current president's brother.
...Yes, there was a time we had twins on the top of the country. Horrible, when you think about it.

"Doesn't know the meaning of the word quit" is supposed to be a figure of speech.
Tom Brokaw is also not Fox News, neither was Fox News the first or the only media outlet to run this story. This is probably the shortest version about Obama's no smoking promise, and one of the least informative. I read a version that claimed that Hilary Clinton had the ban on smoking in the White House enacted.
If you wanted to get anything out of this article, you had to read into everything. The writers are probably making the assumption that this wasn't going to be something that got passed around on internet forums with people from other countries or those who never read any politics stuff.

I don't think I saw a single political ad saying how a candidate would help the country, rather how the other ate babies or something.

Because the normal news gots old and uninteresting to talk about, you can only bitch about the war in Iraq and the shit economy for so long.
I also do not understand why so many people are going "lolfoxnews" and other little comments about fox when all the other major news stations covered it, lol.

I mostly pull my news from the frontpage of MSN. It's mostly AP articles but they also link MSNBC and Fox Sports stuff too. I occasionally pull stuff off Google from researching other topics. During presidential debates and law making sessions (like Bailout stuff) I actually watch C-SPAN and C-SPAN2 so that I don't have to hear the stupid partisan commentary.
I don't watch much tv, but at home Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, and CNN are all right next to each other. I flip between those 4 to get whatever news I'm looking for, because there's no reason to watch commercials. Two of the worst personalities on air are Keith Olbermann and Rachell Maddow of MSNBC. Those two are just obsessively angry about anything. Prior to his Obama crush, Chris Matthews show wasn't bad. After that is Larry King of CNN, some of the worst interview questions I've ever seen. I've also seen Lou Dobbs on CNN, the show isn't too bad compared to other things that may be on. For Fox News people, Bill O'Reilly is an egotist, but his show actually can be good like the time he blasted Barney Frank and it's the top watched in the prime time slot. Sean Hannity is the most extreme Republican I've seen on television, but he's smug instead of angry, and he used to have that pushover Adam Colmes on his show. Fox News is very weak when it comes to internation stories; I couldn't sit through any of the coverage they had on Mumbai. CNBC is mostly stock market and money stuff; I just check the DOW and occasionally watch when they have 5 or more experts on something.

So, do you always bite off more than you can chew when you read into things? Because when someone sees a Tom Brokaw article, and thinks that Fox News was the primary source, I can tell that person has no clue what they are talking about. Whenever I see someone bring up Fox News in the manner you guys have, I usually guess that what we have is a typical MSNBC fanatic. But I usually know better to judge and not read into a single comment. Even though I see how many times 'Faux' news gets talked about on each station.
